Your cat or kitten’s best friend, next to you, is your pet’s veterinarian:
- Schedule regular checkup visits for your pet cat/kitten – consult your vet regarding your breed of pet cat/kitchen suggestions/requirements
- Spaying/neutering your new pet cat/kitten may be recommended or mandatory by local authorities

- Litter Box Cleanliness
A litter box indoors means that you, the happy owner/friend, are not needed to open a door and let your cat/kitten outside. This also means that the litter box requires regular cleaning:
- Cats/kittens are fussy and will not use a soiled litter box – hence you may have an accident on a floor/carpet elsewhere
- Use fresh clean litter regularly
- Put the litter box in a safe, quiet and easy-to-reach place in your home
- It you have more than one cat/kitten it is suggested that you have one litter box for each pet
- Cat/Kitten Training and Behaviour

- Cats like/must be held gently
- Frightening your cat/kitten may lead to nasty scratches of self-defence
- A cat/kitten must have a scratching post for claw maintenance
